Vladimir Karapetyan. “I regret that Edward Nalbandian has been adapted to Warlick’s wording”

May 13,2014 21:43

How did you perceive Edward Nalbandian’s response to the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair James Warlick? Was it consent to his proposed 6 elements? To the question of Aravot.am on May 12, the ANC Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Vladimir Karapetyan responded, “I find that the part of Warlick’s speech, which referred to the expression of “occupied territories” should have a response from the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Firstly, such wording does not reflect the reality, and secondly, is not conducive to peace. As far as Edward Nalbandian has not responded to it, I just regret that they actually have adapted to such wording.” With regard to James Warlick’s suggested 6 elements, according to Vladimir Karapetyan, it is not new that they are the “skeleton” of the Madrid principles. “The negotiations are being conducted just around them. In this regard, the public was informed about it, and all of it should not be viewed as a novelty.” Recall that James Warlick had delivered a speck at the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and has proposed 6 elements for conflict regulation, which was followed by the RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian’s response.
