“I was perplexed to learn about his resignation,” said the NA RPA faction leader Vahram Baghdasaryan in an interview with Aravot.am, referring to the Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan’s resignation. He believes that the Ombudsman should provide information about the reasons for his resignation as he considers that it is a serious institution and it is not right to resign because of being offended, “We have not issued any political order, there is no such order. No preliminary decision was made about his resignation, it was his personal decision, with regard to which he must give explanations.” To the question of whether Vahram Baghdasaryan is satisfied with Karen Andreasyan’s work, he replied, “We’ve repeatedly expressed ourselves, there were critical moments, there were moments of praise, anyway, the work was done and he actually worked.”
