“Once again, the US reminds that Russia being an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country is at the same time the main supplier of weapons to the Artsakh conflict zone,” – so commented political analyst Sergey Minasyan in an interview with Aravot.am, referring to the interview of the OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick with “Interfax” news agency. And the US reminder to Russia will have any consequences, according to the political analyst, he recommends not to seek any fundamental and serious things in this statement. Recall that James Warlick had stated, “there is a mandate on Azerbaijan by our Congress, which does not allow us to supply weapons that could be used for the offensive purposes in the Karabakh conflict.”
“Warlick when being in Moscow and giving an interview with the Russian media, has used the opportunity to express the position of the United States and more obviously show the difference in the approaches of the US and Russia in the military-political sphere,” – continued the political analyst, assuring that James Warlick’s words were addressed only to Russia. And as to why the US co-chair now decided to speak out about the restriction of supply of weapons by them and supply of arms by Russia, Mr. Minasyan thinks that because, “Over the past two or three months, Russia has become more active in the talks as a co-chair country, and the United States is doing certain respective messages, at the same time no need to seek overly serious things. Yes, Warlick speaks about obvious facts that are not a secret for the experts.”
