Nikol Pashinyan: ‘Yelq’ bloc should overcome disagreements

“Yelq” bloc deputy, head of the “Civil Contract” party Nikol Pashinyan and his supporters arrived in Vanadzor within the framework of the “My Step” initiative. After spending a night there, they continued their 14-day walking tour in the morning, passing through Vanadzor streets went to Dilijan.

In an interview with Aravot.am, Nikol Pashinyan was pleased to note that they were warmly welcomed in Vanadzor both by party members and representatives of other parties. “We were very pleased with the fact that the representatives of the Vanadzor regional office of the Armenian National Congress and the “Bright Armenia” were among those welcoming us. We traveled more than usual and were very tired, and the presence of our partners gave us great energy and empowerment. I express special gratitude to the territorial organization of the “Civil Contract” party”.

In response to our question whether it is possible that the Armenian National Congress joins the “My Step” initiative, Pashinyan said: “We have not had any political discussions, it was simply a human interaction, and I do not draw any other political conclusions from it. I just want to note that this visit was very important to us”.

To the question whether the “Yelq” bloc is going to be dissolved, Pashinyan responded: “I think the “Yelq” bloc should overcome the disagreements. The will of the voters of the “Yelq” bloc and the voters’ point of view should win in this process. As the head of the “Yelq” faction, I also consider myself the guarantor of that process, that no one can bypass or ignore the political messages of the voters voiced during the process”.
