Pashik Alaverdyan awarded the European champion and medal winners. Harutyun Grigoryan, 77 kg weight category weightlifter, won the second gold medal at the U15 and U17 European Weightlifting Youth Championships in Milan.
The first approach in the snatch exercise he started with a 111 kg bar when eight members of the strongest teams had already finished their approaches, and after his first approach he secured little gold medal for himself. Then he lifted the 117 kg bar, but failed lifting 121 kg at the last approach.
After the first approach in clean and jerk exercise (130 kg) it became clear that Harutyun was unreachable. Then he lifted 136 kg and 141 kg, and as a result won the champion title. The Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation, Pashik Alaverdyan, awarded the champion and the medalists.
