‘I’m happy that I wore an Armenian-made shirt for the gathering’: Nikol Pashinyan

August 23,2018 15:32

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a live stream on his Facebook page, assured that there is already a high production of technological devices in Armenia. According to Nikol Pashinyan, there is interest in Armenia to release solar electric panels in Armenia to create a production. There are investments being made for televisions and household technological products are being released.

Nikol Pashinyan said that our economy needs to be built upon exports since our markets are very small. Therefore, he brought forth the example of the small industry of diamond cutting and jewelry. Then he asked that everyone support local producers. “Shoes and clothes that are made locally need to be of such quality and price that we can have the possibility of using them. There is such a possibility. There are high-quality shoes being produced here, and I happily wear them. I wore a shirt to the gathering that I saw people labeling as being ‘Gucci’ or ‘Zilli.’ I want to say that it was actually a shirt made in Armenia, sadly not in a factory, but it was ordered from a private tailor. I’m happy that such an impression has been made that there is serious potential in Armenia in that aspect.”

Then, Nikol Pashinyan mentioned what our slogan needs to be. “Our slogan is ‘not through someone you know, but through education and raising your levels of professionalism and intellect.’ If anyone wants to be successful in Armenia, they shouldn’t have to look for people to fund them, but instead, they should look to themselves to see what level of professionalism and intellect they have. This is how we should think from now own. Every specialist should think about advancing their competition and professionalism every day.”
