Vova Vartanov: ‘We are a parliamentary republic, Prime Minister cannot make decisions on Artsakh without National Assembly’

January 27,2019 15:35

“We resolved that issue before the ceasefire was signed in 1994, and it is normal to negotiate about that now in order to prevent a new war from happening. Let them negotiate, but since we are no longer a presidential republic where the country is structured around one individual, and we are now a parliamentary republic, the parliament needs to have a decision-making role in the negotiations process. This means that the Prime Minister’s foreign policy activities need to be regulated by parliament,” the Art of Staying Alive organization founder and spy Vova Vartanov said regarding the meeting between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev.

It will be 27 years since the Armenian Army was formed on January 28th. Vova Vartanov and psychologist Samvel Khudoyan held a press conference to discuss the achievements and problems of the Armenian Army.

“Our army isn’t only 27 years old; it is three thousand years old. It simply woke up from its slumber 27 years ago,” Vova Vartanov said. According to him, it is not good that experience professionals are being removed from the army’s leadership, and it is also not good that the people have a casual view on this due to the fact that their beloved Prime Minister made this decision.
