September 26th is Komitas Vardapet’s birthday. Many people went to the grave of the Armenian composer, arranger, singer, musicologist, priest, teacher, choirmaster, teacher, and the founder of the Armenian national school of music to pay their respects.
Employees from the Ministry of Science, Education, Culture, and Sport were present, as well as from the State Conservatory named after Komitas, the Opera theater, and state musical groups, as well as teachers and other fans of Komitas’ work.

The ‘baptism’ of first-year students at the conservatory took place for the first time by the Vardapet’s grave. Some of Komitas’ songs were also played.
