ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian together with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan and Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan visited today the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial on the occasion of the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.
Back in 2015 by the initiative of Armenia the UN General Assembly declared December 9 as the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime. With this step Armenia reaffirmed its readiness to be a leader in the global fight against genocides.
