On February 18 Feliks Tsolakyan, Minister of ES hosted Karen Vardanyan, Executive Director of Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) and Alen Amirkhanyan, Director of Acopian Center for the Environment of the American University of Armenia (AUA).
The purpose of the meeting was discussion of opportunities for cooperation in the field of information technologies, information security issues in a work-practical environment.
Armen Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of ES, Vrezh Gabrielyan, Director of the Rescue Service, Vahagn Ohanyan, Secretary General of MES and other responsible persons for the field participated in the meeting.
Both sides highlighted the cooperation of the Union with the state bodies during the discussion.
Opportunities for introduction and development of innovative technologies in the Ministry of Emergency Situations were discussed, especially communication software, forest fires and seismic map monitoring.

The sides also referred to the issues related to training, education and workforce development of the employees of MES.
Feliks Tsolakyan expressed gratitude for the meeting and said that the meeting will be continuous. He was hopeful that through joint activity they will be able to provide more effective solutions to existing issues.
