“I assess the meeting positively. The parties reaffirmed that the process takes place without preconditions and that the end result is the normalization of relations, as well as the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border for us,” the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan said during a government-NA question-answer session on March 2 in reference to the second meeting between the special envoys for Armenian-Turkish dialogue.
“This discussion was much more substantial than the first one. But at the same time, we all understand that it is difficult to expect very tangible results for the second meeting. The process must provide solutions to the problems of hundreds of years, maybe decades,” Ararat Mirzoyan added. As for Armenia’s participation in the diplomatic forum to be held in Antalya in March, the minister said that there is no decision yet, it will be made when the deadlines approach.
