Politician Arman Abovyan during the discussion “Armenian agenda: situation and resolution” noted that the government wants to scare the public by the actions of the opposition, saying that as a result of their actions the enemy can attack again. He considers it a manipulation.
“We have a problem presenting the issue with understandable words which are the following: all the processes that are presented under the beautiful words “age of peace” mean one thing – the division of the Republic of Armenia. We shouldn’t be afraid to utter these words. It’s impossible to formulate the processes around the sovereign lands of the Republic of Armenia, which unfortunately we hear from enemy states, in other words,” he said.
Arman Abovyan also referred to the opinion that to solve the situation within the country people who inspire trust should act as mediators, and it could have been the president of Armenia if he was reliable. “Mediator is not the problem solver. It should be a person whom everybody believes, who inspires trust in everyone. I mean the society and the conflicting parties – opposition and government. The main task of the mediator is to find bloodless edges for the solution so that the Turks and Azerbaijanis won’t use the situation. It can be a person or a political unit.”
