“It was not possible to establish mutual positions for the issues that concern us in Brussels. I am talking about the NK problem. On the other hand, on both sides, Armenia and Azerbaijan have established their desire to achieve peace,” said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community in Vladivostok, referring to the recent negotiations with the President of Azerbaijan under the auspices of Brussels.

“I am sure that everyone wants peace, but everyone has their own perception about the conditions of peace. This is where conflicts arise. Azerbaijan’s point of view is that the Nagorno-Karabakh problem is solved and there is nothing more to discuss. The position of the international community and our position does not coincide with Azerbaijan. In particular, the Russian Federation does not share that desire. The Russian Federation has recorded that there is a problem, otherwise the Russian peacekeeping forces would not be in Nagorno-Karabakh,” stressed Nikol Pashinyan.

As for the unblocking of economic roads, Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that there are fears and apprehensions, but the opening of communications is definitely beneficial for Armenia. “Recently we did research. On average, food in Armenia is more expensive than in many countries. The reason is the transportation problem, which is more acute today. The opening of transport communications is beneficial to us, we are interested.” Pashinyan added that the Armenia-Azerbaijan border demarcation process is also complicated, but in case of all complications, we must move forward.
