The Armenian government allocated over 2 billion drams (about 6 million dollars) to organize the world-famous rapper Snoop Dogg’s concert in Yerevan. The decision was adopted at today’s session of the Government of Armenia on August 11. The Executive defined the substantive and financial scope of the implementation of the “World Star Armenia Tour” music project and the conditions for the involvement and participation of beneficiaries. It is noted that the program’s purpose is to revitalize cultural life, increase recognition of Armenia in the international arena and develop cultural tourism. It is also planned to ensure the participation of vulnerable and targeted groups in the concert.
“In recent years, the issue of implementing large-scale concert programs with the participation of world stars in Armenia has become more than relevant, which can not only contribute to raising the recognition and ranking of Armenia, the positioning of a safe and modern country, expanding the scope of cultural tourism, but also can ensure the economic growth of the country. , to create new opportunities for business environment formation. The implementation of the “World Star Armenian Tour” musical project will also contribute to revitalizing the cultural life of Armenia,” it is said in the justification of the decision.
The concert will occur on September 23 at the “Hrazdan” stadium. The organizer is the “Doping Space” company. The RA government will allocate AMD 2,318,596.8 thousand to the organization to implement the project.
