The European Individual Chess Championship 2026 has concluded in Katowice, Poland.
🇺🇦 The champion is 18-year-old Ukrainian IM Roman Dehtiarov, who scored 9 out of 11 points.
🇦🇲🤩 Among the Armenian chess players, GM Robert Hovhannisyan and GM Haik Martirosyan qualified for the FIDE World Cup 2027. With 8 points each, they shared 5th–23rd places and ranked 9th and 13th respectively based on tiebreaks.
🇦🇲 IM Arsen Davtyan also finished among the prize winners, placing 23rd with 8 points.
