On the sidelines of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), held in the Blue Zone of the Meridian Expo Centre, Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia, met with Bahodur Sheralizoda, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in environmental protection, approaches to enhancing the effectiveness of environmental oversight and enforcement, and issues related to biodiversity conservation.
Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening international cooperation and promoting the exchange of experience to address environmental challenges and advance effective solutions in environmental protection.
