Sargis Asatryan, the former leader of Youth Party of Armenia (YPA) told one of the Russian newspapers his memories about Sadam Huseyn and Michail Sahakashvily.

On November 29 Nikita Smirnov’s article was published in Russian “Express” periodical the hero of which is the YPA leader Sargis Asatryan. We should remind that he was hosting “Pyramid” program at “Yerevan” TV Company.

The reason of the publication was the presentation of State Duma parliamentarian Alexander Khinshteyn’s “Oligarchs of the great way” book. Alexander Mitrofanov who joined Sergey Mironov’s “Spravedlivaya Rosia” (Fair Russia) Party leaving Zhirinovsky’s party (he also the initiator of a porno film about Yushchenko and Sahakashvili).

One of the participants of the presentation tried to explain Mitrofanov’s move saying that he wanted to save money since Zhirinovsky offered $2 million to have a seat in the proportional list, while Sergey Mironov offered $1 million for the same service. “It doesn’t happen. Mitrofanov gives money to nobody, even me”, – Sargis Asatryan said, bringing his words to the journalists’ attention.

The correspondent reminds that Sargis Asatryan’s name was being connected with Sadam Huseyn. He was supplying with delicious dishes to the president’s palace during the economic blockade of Iraq. We should note that we have seen Asatryan’s photos both with Zhirinovsky and Sadam Huseyn. But Sargis Asatryan said to the correspondent of “Express” that he has been at table with Sadam Huseyn for several times; “I have assisted him to design that table. Then he told that he had arranged several banquets for Sadam Huseyn in 2000: “It is my profession. I arrange parties for very influential people, leaders of the countries are among them as well”.

He describes then the prices of food that time: “You may buy 12 sheep by $100 but a standard Champaign cost $350 which they were buying from the Embassy of French”. Then he adds: “All diplomatic missions, including Red Cross and other peacemaking organizations, were making great money by selling food”. Noting that a bottle of mineral water cost $5, Mr. Asatryan says: Knowing about it we were bringing a lot of things with us. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov may evidence it. He was the only Russian who was participating in those parties. Though there was another model.” The journalist was interesting whether there was only one model. “There were three; Two other models were from Romania. In addition to them other 7 persons were participating in the parties. Those parties ha d a high European level”,- Sargis Asatryan says. In answer to the question whether Sadam gave him oil drilling, he said that an oil corporation, which won Iraqi oil competition, paid him.

The journalist is interested whether Sahakashvili is the next one. Noting that Silvio Berlusconi is registered Mr. Asatryan says that he won’t go to Sahakashvili: “I don’t have any intention to work with that man. He usually orders not so expensive prostitutes and used to court others’ wives.”
