Robbery in “Zokanchi lezu” (tongue of a mother-in-law) building

Yesterday the police officers with assistance of the residents of Khaghagh Don 19 building and former police officers arrested 2 people during a robbery. The mentioned building has 12 entrances and is called “tongue of a mother-in-law” for its length. According to “Aravot’s” information, previously convicted 26-year-old Aram Barseghyan and 33-year-old Armen Vardanyan with “Manakh” nickname were arrested; the arrest of the latter is shown on the photo. They, armed with a gun and a knife, tried to steel 38 million drams from Nadya Shahinyan near the very entrance of the building through an assault. We found out that N. Shahinyan works as a treasurer for the Railroad Electronic Network. When the citizens and the police officers tried to neutralize the armed criminals, they opened fire on the chasers. The injured treasurer was taken to Erebuni Medical Center.
