Yesterday Galust Sahakyan, the head of the parliamentary faction of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), referring to the issue whether it was possible that RPA and the Prosperous Armenia Party would run for the election on a common list and consequently negotiate on that, said very shortly, “Don’t believe the press.”
What if it is the case, what if it becomes a reality? In response to these questions of a journalist, the MP added, “One can speak of the reality when all the participants in the political election are present, also during nominations and a bit earlier, when alliances and other sorts of associations are established. The coalition memorandum dated February 17 is in effect at the moment, according to which, we must run for the election in concord.”
In response to a clarifying question “you mean separately?” Glaust Sahakyan said, “At the moment, it is the agreement we have signed.” Nevertheless, if the alliance between RPA and PAP is the case, will the Rule of Law Party (RLP) participate in that? “I think, that alliance is the case, only the form is left to determine. Naturally, we cooperate now and will cooperate also during the upcoming election, the rest, whether we will run separately or on a common list is just the form of cooperation that will be considered, given the demands of that period in time”, concluded the head of the RPA faction.
