www.aravot.am reminded Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction leader Galust Sahakyan that he hadn’t signed the document on establishing a joint staff at the Union of Political Scientists, stressing that there was still a coalition, whereas their coalition partners, certain members of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), in particular, claim that the coalition was formal and there was basically no coalition. In response to a question whether one shouldn’t bother considering their opinion, he said, “The Prosperous Armenia hasn’t made such a statement. Such statements are made by party leaders. Besides, if it is formal, it hasn’t existed, they can leave the coalition. It is not Vartan Oskanian’s opinion. I don’t want to influence anyone’s opinion. Any political force in the coalition, if it thinks that the coalition is formal or the coalition doesn’t exist, it can leave the coalition. Vartan Oskanian says, because he knows that we are the majority and he doesn’t realize that the PAP has had 4 and the Rule of Law Party (RLP) 3 members of the Cabinet, if it had been formal, some discussions at the Cabinet meeting would have gone in a different way. I think that the coalition has worked very well, it has worked jointly. And even if some principles caused arguments, we were able to overcome them.”
