www.aravot.am inquired of Hakob Hakobyan, a National Assembly Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member, whether it was possible that the opposition in Armenia would also get the majority of votes in the upcoming presidential election, as it had happened in the parliamentary election in Georgia lately. “I wouldn’t compare Armenia and Georgia, because the political category in Georgia is absolutely different and is not comparable with that of Armenia.”
According to him, comparing Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), with Bidzina Ivanishvili, the leader of the Georgian Dream coalition, is not right, “Regardless of who will be tomorrow’s candidates for the president, what struggle will be between the candidates, it is not right to compare the political principles of Armenia and Georgia.”
And the opposition in Armenia doesn’t get the majority of votes, because, according to Mr. Hakobyan, it talks little with the people.
