“Let Them Crystallize, Even Pearl, Radiate, if They Like, but Leave Us Alone,” Suren Abrahamyan Says to Levon Zurabyan

“I am not an expert in patches. Now you will say we have to use this or Barf, I don’t know what else. How can I know? Maybe Alik washes clothes at home, and he knows how a patch must look like,” Suren Abrahamyan, a member of the Republic Party political council, commented in this manner during a conversation with www.aravot.am today on comparing the Armenian National Congress (ANC) with a patch. Let us remind that after Davit Shahnazaryan, the Republic Party and the Liberal Party of Armenia had withdrawn from the ANC, the ANC coordinator, Levon Zurabyan, said that the ANC was purging itself. And Alexander Arzumanyan of the Free Democrats Party mocked in this manner: “The more parties withdraw from the ANC, the stronger, the cleaner it becomes; perhaps it is a process of cleaning. You know, when a patch is washed too many times, it starts to wear away, perhaps, it will become so clean that it will absolutely disappear.”

In this regard, Suren Abrahamyan recited what was very much like a distich for Levon Zurabyan during a conversation with us: “And I say let them purge themselves, crystallize, even pearl, radiate, if they like, but leave us alone.”

With regard to comparing the ANC with a patch, Zoya Tadevosyan, a member of the ANC said that those who had withdrawn from the ANC were her friends: “I respect them, I am always in touch with them and talk to them. Despite everything, I consider them as my friends in the political struggle. I don’t say anything bad about my friends, even if I separate from my friends.”
