Artsvik Minasyan. “The European agreement also said that there should be a custom-house.”

Political scientists say that entering into the Customs Union, Armenia closed the access of Azerbaijan to the European Union, since Aliyev at the meeting with Putin hinted that the prospect can be discussed. In this regard, during the interview with Aravot.am, ARF Supreme Council representative Armen Rustamyan disagreed with the political scientist,- “I can not make a very far-reaching conclusions. Aliyev’s statement provides such a ground that wherever Armenia is, we have nothing to do there. But Azerbaijanis can say something today, and something else tomorrow. That’s why one cannot make conclusions based only on it. Tomorrow it is excluded that the same Azerbaijan will enter into the Customs Union. No one can exclude it.” As observed by ARF MP Artsvik Minasyan, – “I do not have this kind of analysis whether we have closed the access of Azerbaijan or not. I have perceived accordingly that the decision at this point is due solely to the military security component.

No analysis has been made even in the economic, social and geopolitical point of view, and there is no need for each one to declare something from its place as the most clever and the most know-all. This was number one condition in provision of military security. There was a demand on us. We could say that we do not obey the demand, but for disobedience we should have an alternative. If we do not have any other security system, you can not give up this system now.” Many people criticize the Customs Union, taking into account who its members are. For example, Nazarbaev recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and Armenia want to constitute a family with it.

Artsvik Minasyan said,- “These are questions that are serious challenges before us at this time. We need to reach a situation that Armenia-Karabakh is viewed as one unified area, that the condition previously declared by Kazakhstan that there should be a custom-house in Karabakh does not become true. To the point, the European Agreement also said that there should be a custom-house, and I wonder why they do not tell about it.” According to Artsvik Minasyan, regardless of whether we are in the EU or EurAsEC, if you want to live in as a democratic, it does not matter. “Oligarchs may happen in European countries as well, also corruption, harem owners and so on. The problem is this whether we are committed to internal reforms or not? Why do we constantly direct our eyes to far away?”
