Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Dikran Balayan has made a statement on the situation in Syria, condemning armed groups’ ongoing bombardments of the Armenian-populated districts of Aleppo.
According to the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the statement reads as follows:
“We strictly condemn the ongoing bombardments by armed groups in the districts of Aleppo that are becoming the reason for deaths and destruction.
The recent attacks have killed four Armenians, seriously damaged an Armenian nursing home, the Zvartnots Holy Trinity Church of the Armenian Catholic Community and several other scientific, educational, historic and cultural buildings and several other buildings of civil significance.
