On the evening of June 4, RA Minister of Defense left for the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on a working visit. The visit is within the scope of the partnership between the armed forces of the two Armenian republics.
With the accompaniment of Commander of the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanian and high-ranking servicemen, Seyran Ohanian visited the subdivisions and defensive positions stationed in the northeastern direction of the line of contact of the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflicting forces. The defense ministers of the two Armenian republics followed the military service and current engineering works at the frontline positions in the Mataghis-Talish sector, discussed problems related to training of troops and were introduced to the social and living conditions of the border guards. On June 5, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanian visited various sectors of the borderline and the frontline positions, listened to the commanders’ reports and pinpointed the problems regarding military service and partnership between the troops.
During the visit, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanian also discussed the mentioned problems with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic
