Vice President of the Republican Party Armen Ashotyan is demanding that no one rush the Republican Party in making a decision regarding whether or not to participate in the upcoming snap parliamentary elections. “The Republican Party will disclose everything in time,” said RPA deputy Armen Ashotyan to reporters, adding that, after all, there is still no decision yet on participation in the snap elections.
“We will see how the plan to change the Electoral Code will be carried out, since discussions about it don’t bring honor to the Armenian democracy. Then we will figure out the rest,” Armen Ashotyan said, ordering authorities to not repeat the RPA’s mistakes.
By the way, he noticed that members of the RPA are not lying to themselves. “We haven’t lied to ourselves, at least not over the past six months. I am sad that some of my colleagues, due to the political situation, have said things that I trust they themselves do not believe. Maybe they are trying to be like us, but they learned what our mistakes were very quickly. Don’t do that, please. Don’t lie to yourselves,” Armen Ashotyan said, adding that the reasons for the RPA’s mistakes and the overthrow of the government were that sometimes, members would say things that they truly didn’t agree with.
