“I did not see an ideological debate between Pashinyan and Vigen Sargsyan. Everyone was presenting their numbers,” ‘Menk (Us)’ alliance candidate and head of the Republic party Aram Sargsyan told Aravot regarding the television debate between the leaders of the proportional lists.
He said that the way the atmosphere for the debates on television was shown not how it was in reality. “You could hear sneers and remarks in the hall.”
According to Sargsyan, the authorities were basing their debates on what took place over the past few months. “But when we speak to people during our campaigns, they say that the former authorities were thieves, and the new ones didn’t do anything good. I always try to say those good things are felt in small steps. Good things don’t happen in six months, but the proper steps are being taken.”
Aram Sargsyan looked negatively upon the fact that there were attempts to ridicule Pashinyan or any other person. “You cannot forget about being human in politics.”
