The Summit of Minds conference began in Dilijan, Armenia. More than 200 Armenian and non-Armenian state and political figures have visited Armenia for the summit, as well as scientists, representatives of world-famous technology companies, analysts, business owners, and entrepreneurs. The former Prime Minister of France Dominique de Villepin and former US President Barack Obama’s National Security Advisor James Jones are also present. From Armenia, the National Assembly Vice Speaker Lena Nazaryan, ministers Arayik Harutyunyan and Arsen Torosyan, and other deputies are present.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, during his welcome speech, said, “There are more thoughts born in a person’s mind than there are stars in the sky. The thought is the most important element that created our reality. All of civilization is based off of human thought. The biggest investments are made in people’s minds. The sectors that have the most to do with human thought have become the most economically prosperous.”
He then went on to say that the businesses that have thoughts as their biggest investors are the most successful. “We believe that the 21st century will be the century for Armenians. When it was the century of the sea, we didn’t have a sea, when it was the century of oil, we didn’t have oil, when it was the century of luck, we didn’t have luck, and when it was the century of power, we didn’t have power. But now it is the century of thought, and there is no doubt that we have our thoughts. Our actions have been predetermined. We need to create conditions that will allow thoughts to be demonstrated and carried out.”
