June 30,2019 18:27

The tools for implementing vetting will be different in the near future, but there will not be another project. The head of the leading faction My Step, Lilit Makunts, spoke about this with reporters in parliament during an interview. She said she is referring to the fact that there will be new projects dealing with the Supreme Judicial Council and the anti-corruption body that will allow vetting to be fulfilled. She was unable to give precise information about when these projects will be implemented due to the fact that this is a difficult and time-consuming, terms saying that this is an effort-demanding and time taking affair, but everything is being done for these projects to be completed as soon as possible.

The newly-appointed Minister of Justice had previously announced that there will be a new project for vetting.

The minister also mentioned that he had sent a draft of the confiscation of property without a court ruling project to international experts for examination. Reporters also asked whether the project has been discussed with deputies. Lilit Makunts said that she is not familiar with the project, nor does she know about whether the members of State and Legal Affairs Committee of the National Assembly have taken part in discussions or not.

The leader of My Step did not speak about the crisis created around the Constitutional Court, either. She said that discussions are going on in the Constitutional Court and that the suggestions will be introduced to the deputies. They will familiarize themselves with these suggestions and will express their opinions.
