“It seems to have become a habit because they expanded towards Gorayk along the entire length of the border two days ago,” Vahe Hakobyan, the chairman of the Reviving Armenia party and former governor of Syunik, said during the joint press conference of the leaders of the Armenia bloc regarding the situation in Syunik.
He said that the situation continues to remain tense. “If this continues, the people of Syunik will start to grow used to the fact that Azerbaijani troops are deployed on our territory.” He said that the authorities are already losing their control. “The same negotiations process has fallen into a trap. They do not know what to do. They lost the opportunity to solve the issue by force. Well, how can they negotiate about something serious?”
Vahe Hakobyan insisted that there are more than 1,000 Azerbaijani troops deployed in Syunik.
