An extraordinary session of the National Assembly was convened on Tuesday to discuss the drafts of the deputies that were adopted after the first reading and must be adopted in the second reading and in full. Otherwise, this parliament will no longer have the opportunity to convene a regular sitting, and those drafts will remain untouched. The next parliament cannot address those projects. Naira Zohrabyan spoke about the Armenian prisoners of war, saying that she had a private conversation with the head of the Azerbaijani delegation in Strasbourg, and it is clear that Azerbaijan’s position remains intolerable. They continue to deny that the captives are prisoners of war. “The head of the Azerbaijani delegation clearly stated that a discussion on the captives with the Armenian side can take place only if Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, of course, including the occupied 75% of Artsakh.”
Naira Zohrabyan addressed parliament, saying that it is necessary to file an appeal to apply clear sanctions. “For example, the authority of the Azerbaijani delegation should be suspended. Navalny’s “style” is mixed: the Council of Europe imposed sanctions on Russia and deprived it of the right to vote. The bank accounts of Aliyev, his clan, and his family should be frozen. We can do that.”
She urged them to appeal to international organizations with a joint statement or message. Otherwise, we will wait for our boys for a long time.
