“The Armenian government teaches us the Azerbaijani vocabulary by calling Vorotan Eyvazli:” Naira Zohrabyan

“It was very difficult to go to Artsakh emotionally. When you have to constantly show a passport to a border guard in your homeland, it already gives the impression that the whole Lachin corridor has turned into a military field,” said Naira Zohrabyan, President of the Security and Democracy NGO, during a press conference at the Hayeli press club on September 14.

Zohrabyan, adding that Russian soldiers are the guarantors of our security, said that it is not clear what will happen after the end of their 5-year term. Naira Zohrabyan said that unlike the frustrated and disappointed population of post-election Armenia, people in Artsakh are not in widespread apathy. According to the speaker, this leads to the same emigration as in the 90s. In her opinion, it is terrible that people are ready to spend money to go to jail in Mexico just to build the future of their children outside Armenia.

“I appealed to all international organizations, presenting the situation in Syunik, and noted that human rights are being grossly violated. Azerbaijanis even control the entry and exit of trucks from Iran, and our government is trying to teach us Azerbaijani vocabulary by calling Vorotan Eyvazli,” said Naira Zohrabyan. According to the speaker, Azerbaijan will not start a new war; it will just approach its goal step by step. “The State Revenue Committee of Azerbaijan announced that customs duties have been imposed on Iranian cars because they have entered the territory of Azerbaijan.  In response to this, the NSS of Armenia said that they are handling it. So handle it.”
