Last week freelance journalist Jakob Kürüm interviewed Belgian MP Ellen Samyn for Assyria TV on the issues of Christian minorities in South-East Turkey.
When asked if Erdogan has Ottoman ambitions, Mrs Samyn refers to last year’s Artsakh war and the war crimes against the Armenians. “Turkey has actively supported Azerbaijan in that war against Armenia, therein you see that the only goal of Erdogan is to expand the Ottoman Empire, he wants to have more grip on his neighbors”, Mrs Samyn said.
