About two dozen citizens were detained at police stations during a protest rally in front of the government building on Thursday regarding the illegal placement of Azerbaijani customs checkpoints along the Goris-Kapan interstate highway.
Armenia alliance MP Gegham Manukyan said in a conversation with journalists, “One of the citizens, a freedom fighter, is feeling worse. The police car taking him crashed, after which his condition worsened. It has already become a tradition that citizens are detained for months on the basis of false police reports, and then criminal cases are drawn up,” said Gegham Manukyan. It should be added that the police are conducting enhanced service, and the deputies are not allowed to enter the government building.
