On December 21, the members of the Iran-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran being in Armenia accompanied by the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Iran Friendship Group Gevorg Papoyan, the member of the Group Narek Babayan and Shirak Torosyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
The members of the delegation laid flowers at the eternal fire and paid tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide martyrs in silence.
The member of the Committee on National Security and Foreign Affairs of the IRI Majlis Mahmoud Ahmadi-Bighash has noted that he is in Armenia for the first time. “I had, of course, information about the genocide committed in the previous century, but this visit became a reason that I had more information. I was especially saddened that the mankind can be so inhuman and animal-like to have not such behavior, but also worse – not to accept what they have done,” the MP of the Majlis noted.
At the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute the guests got acquainted with the documents depicting the first disaster of the 20th century, observed the exhibits, left a note in the Memory Book of Honorable Guests.
