Aravot asked the chairman of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) Central Committee Hambik Sarafyan about the demarcation-delimitation process. He said that now is not the best time for Armenia to start that process, but does Armenia have a chance to refuse Russia if the latter insists that the process should start?
According to Hambik Sarafyan, if we have levers against Russia, we must launch them, and if the process is against us, we must be ready, at all costs, to preserve everything that belongs to us. On the other hand, if peace is finally desired and the roads are opened, being one or two meters to or from the border, in his opinion, will not solve the problem. In response to the question of whether we should seek peace at any cost, our Sarafyan answered that it is there that we should orient ourselves correctly. Is the price that we will pay enough? That price should be decided by the people of Armenia.
