“You traitors and thieves, I will point a finger at whoever accuses me of giving land”: Nikol Pashinyan

March 03,2022 15:15

During the Government-NA question-answer session on March 2, MP of the Armenia alliance Hripsime Stambulyan mentioned that the citizens are especially interested in grain stocks, because the government, handing over 75% of Artsakh, also handed over the grain stocks. “How are you going to serve the security of the RA citizen in this situation? Are you working out something or are you going to say that you are the number one responsible, but not the number one culprit?” the deputy asked.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan answered, “I would not have approached the podium if it were not for the next assertion that we have left 75% of Artsakh to the enemy.

Officially, I demand from the Armenia and I Have Honor factions that they express their position, is it Sanasar or Kubatli, and so on? Let me say my reaction at once: if it is Sanasar and not Kubatli, why did your leaders negotiate for twenty years to hand over those territories to Azerbaijan? Moreover, they did it in public. It is written in the Madrid principles adopted by you that the seven regions are returned to Azerbaijan.”

Pashinyan continued, “Now tell me, traitors, why did you go to those lands? Did you put the homeland on bargains to do grain work? Say it officially, officially confirm that it is Sanasar and not Kubatli. If you confirm it, a criminal case should be initiated against your two leaders for the betrayal of the homeland, according to the article mentioned by Artsvik Minasyan- state treason. What you want to stage for us must be done for you. Enough spewing that rhetoric here. Those who spoke about Syunik paid 15 billion to the state budget and admitted their guilt. Are you talking about that from Syunik, you thieves?”

Hripsime Stambulyan responded, “I have warned you once again that when you come here as an executive, you have no right to answer the questions by waving a finger and shouting. Will you answer, what do you do for a citizen when there are price increases and a grain problem? Do not raise the tone of your voice. You are an executive and obliged to answer questions.”

Pashinyan answered, “If you are a legislator, it does not mean that you can talk about everything from above. I asked a simple question. I will point a finger at whoever accuses me of handing over land. Know your size. If necessary, I will shake my finger.”
