Police beat Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenian faction, near the 3rd building of the government. Moreover, they hit him below the waist so hard that Gegham Manukyan cringed. The demonstrators shouted, “Take Gegham out, he is a deputy, brother.”
After the acts of disobedience, the deputy of the Armenia faction, National Assembly Vice Speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan told the journalists that the deputies were not dragged by the police, but were specifically beaten. “I, Ashot Simonyan, Gegham Manukyan were beaten, I saw them with my own eyes. I’m sure the other deputies were also beaten. I saw Aram Vardevanyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, and Tigran Abrahamyan.”
He said that they went to the government building in a very civilized way for the ministers to express their position on the document they had published. They did not even say that the ministers should come down- they would personally go up to hear the position. “But since they do not have a position, their position is very similar to Aliyev’s and they do not have the courage to oppose Nikol or the people, they preferred to go illegally and forbid the deputies to enter the government building. This is a disgrace. Those deputies from the two parliamentary factions received at least 330,000 votes and we have the right to raise an issue on behalf of at least that many people.”

According to the police, 111 citizens were detained near the third government building on suspicion of hooliganism. However, Ishkhan Saghatelyan informed that several hundred people had been brought. “Brutal force was used, moreover, in the most impudent, disgraceful way against the deputies, and now they are trying to initiate a case against the detained boys. Instead of prosecuting disgraceful police actions, they are prosecuting citizens who had only one demand: for the MPs to meet with ministers.”
Ishkhan Saghatelyan said that they have 5 days, who is in favor of Aliyev, let them say, let the people know, orient themselves. “They have said a thousand times that it is not a question of power, we must all declare that we do not want power. This is not a party struggle, it is a nationwide movement for the sake of Armenia and Artsakh. If they want to become Turks and if they do not want to have a state, let them go and live with Nikol. We will not accept it and will fight to the last. It is obvious that the people have stood up. It is necessary to increase the volumes and send them to hell because there is no other option.”
