Heriknaz Tigranyan meets with participants of Parliamentary Internship and Fellowship Program 2023
I am glad that the National Democracy Institute (NDI) involves the young people in the parliamentary work. You see our daily work and you can appreciate to what extent it is effective: The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Social and Social Affairs, the deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Heriknaz Tigranyan noted during the meeting with the participants of the Parliamentary Internship and Fellowship Program 2023 being implemented by the National Democracy Institute (NDI).
The MP presented the works and functions of the Committee, touched upon their peculiarities and importance.
During the meeting, the young people addressed various questions to the Committee Chair, which referred to the work of the Committee and the NGOs, as well as legislative regulations providing work to the persons with disability and different health problems.

Reference was made particularly to the RA law on Voluntary Work and the guarantees of ensuring its fulfillment. Heriknaz Tigranyan noted that legislative works on voluntary work had been initiated since 2007, and today work is underway in filling the gaps of the sphere.
The participants emphasized the activities of the Committee on the legislative amendments and made proposals.
Let us note that the Parliamentary Internship and Fellowship Program launched in March this year and will continue until December.
27 parliamentary interns and fellows of the Program are engaged in a number of parliamentary programs, including the meetings with the citizens, they make researches and analyses, media monitoring, organize community visits with the deputies, do translations and other works.
The Program is financed by the USAID and is implemented as a result of cooperation between the National Democracy Institute (NDI) and the National Assembly.
