On March 13, on the margins of the SDG Regional Forum organized by the UN Economic Commission for Europe, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with Tatiana Molcean, UN Under Secretary-General, UNECE Executive Secretary.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the Armenia-UN cooperation, the effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Armenia, as well as the progress and prospects of programmatic cooperation with the UN Economic Commission for Europe in this regard.
The sides discussed the prospects of active cooperation in developing comprehensive and inclusive transport infrastructures and realization of economic potential in Armenia and in the region. In that context, the Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of legal, expert and technical support of the Economic Commission for Europe.
The Deputy Minister presented to his counterpart in detail the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative elaborated by the Government of Armenia.
