Zareh Sinanyan is on a working visit to France.
On April 27, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, met with the city’s newly elected Deputy Mayors, Julien Harounyan and Yannick Ohanessian, at the Consulate General of Armenia in Marseille.
The High Commissioner congratulated them on assuming their responsibilities following the local elections held in March and wished them a productive and successful tenure.
During the meeting, Zareh Sinanyan emphasized the importance of the sister city partnership between Marseille and Yerevan, expressing confidence that it will gain new momentum during their tenure and lead to more tangible results.

He also highlighted the significant role of the Armenian community in Marseille in the city’s public, cultural, and economic life, as well as in strengthening and expanding Armenia’s multifaceted ties with France. He expressed confidence that, through joint efforts and effective cooperation, it will be possible to fully realize the community’s potential and further deepen Armenian–French relations.
Later in the day, the High Commissioner traveled to Nice, where working meetings are scheduled with representatives of local Armenian community organizations and other officials.
