Haaretz. The Israeli cabinet unanimously approved a proposal for Israel’s official recognition of the Armenian genocide by Turkey on Sunday.

The recognition is set to be brought for a Knesset vote, after years of inconsistency regarding Israel’s stance on the matter. The recognition emphasizes that Israel will condemn any attempt to deny, minimize or distort the late-Ottoman Empire period genocide.
