Armenia-Georgia Cooperation in the Internal Security Field Reached an Unprecedented Level: Arpine Sargsyan Received Sulkhan Tamazashvili
On 30 June, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan received the delegation led by Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, who arrived in Armenia on an official visit. An official welcoming ceremony was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during which the national anthems of the two countries were played.
The Ministers of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Georgia laid flowers at the memorial wall honoring police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and in service to their homeland.
During the official meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan congratulated Sulkhan Tamazashvili on his appointment as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia and wished him every success in his tenure.

Arpine Sargsyan emphasized that the friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia had been founded on mutual trust and longstanding effective cooperation.
The Minister of Internal Affairs highly appreciated the close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Sulkhan Tamazashvili noted that this was his first visit to Armenia as Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia and highlighted that he highly values the friendly relations and close partnership established between Armenia and Georgia. He expressed his confidence that cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries would continue to strengthen and expand. The Ministers of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Georgia also emphasized the importance of preserving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus.
As a gesture of friendship, Sulkhan Tamazashvili invited the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, led by Arpine Sargsyan, to visit Georgia, underscoring the importance of bilateral contacts. Minister Sargsyan accepted the invitation, noting that reciprocal visits would provide fresh impetus to expanding cooperation.
The meeting also covered a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
