On August 13, the RA NA President Ruben Rubinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia Alexandra Cole.
The Ambassador congratulated Ruben Rubinyan on being elected as the RA President of the National Assembly.
During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction that the relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom have made significant progress in recent years and are developing within the framework of a strategic partnership. In this context, the importance of the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership was addressed, as well as the support and role played by the United Kingdom in the development of democratic reforms, the peace process and bilateral relations.
Issues related to regional developments were also debated.
