THE RA SECOND PRESIDENT IS THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON

May 21,2008 00:00

“Heritage” faction member Larissa Alaverdyan declared yesterday during parliamentary announcements that Second President Robert Kocharyan is the person who is responsible for March incidents.

The public should call him to responsibility: “The public has not received the answer yet who are the commanders of those large actions (which were implemented by the police in main and are comparable with the activities against the outside enemy). According to the RA Constitution the President of the country is the guarantee of human rights, freedoms and legality, and just he is responsible for all those crimes and violation of human rights. Since the police, law enforcement bodies, courts, investigation bodies have not given certain names, the second president of the country will be responsible for it. The current activities which are implemented by the police make us think that basic human rights are still violated. I want to declare that the public and lawyers’ community should call Robert Kocharyan to responsibility”.

RPA faction member Karen Avagyan declared that “certain success will be achieved in case of implementation of the RA Government’s guidelines. The economy built on the science and information has no alternative, informed and well-doing citizens are the guarantee for democratic development”.

“Heritage” Party member Zaruhi Postanjyan declared: “I would like to inform President Sargsyan that dozens of political prisoners have been added to the three political prisoners of the last year, in particular NA parliamentarians Khachatur Sukiasyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan and Sasun Mikayelyan. You are obliged to take measurements and set the political prisoners free. I would advise you to participate in any of the trials to be sure how false and groundless the persecutions are”.
