Yesterday the representatives of the Armenian government announced that on June 8 at the meeting of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers a unanimous decision had been made that Armenia had carried out the decision of the European Court of Human Rights and that process had been perceived ended. However, on the Council of Europe website “Aravot” did not manage to find such information, no such decision has been made public yet. According to a1plus.am, “A1+” has not received an official letter or a request from the Committee of Ministers either; the counselors of “A1+” were not aware of such a decision, moreover, they were surprised, because the TV company is at the legal procedure in the ECHR. “No, the government has not carried out the decision of the European court”, said president of “A1+” Mesrop Movsesyan. “Besides we have sent to the EC new information that confirms that our right was violated.” He reminded that the ECHR forced the government to hold a transparent competition of frequencies, “It was done and we are at the legal procedure on that issue.” The decision also implied that the rights of “A1+” should be restored, “The government is very scared to restore our rights, i.e. bringing us back on air and suspends that demand.”
