♟️ The Chess Academy of Armenia officially hosted Akaki Iashvili, President of the Georgian Chess Federation, Chair of the FIDE – International Chess Federation Events Commission, and Director for Special Tasks of the Management Board, during an official visit.
♟️ Together with Smbat Lputian — Founder and Director of the Chess Academy of Armenia, Director of the “Chess” Research Institute, First Vice President of the Armenian Chess Federation, and Grandmaster — he met with representatives of leading institutions involved in chess education and became acquainted with the “Chess in School” program, emphasizing Armenia’s leading role and the importance of international cooperation.
♟️ They also visited the Armenian State Pedagogical University, where the university’s activities and the “Chess” specialty were presented, as well as the world-unique “Chess” Research Institute.
♟️ At the end of the visit, he went to a school, observed the program in action, and interacted with students and teachers, confirming that chess has become an important part of the educational process.
