“Europe applauded, the international observers fainted from amazement and the Armenian citizens don’t know what to say for a few days already, like the parties that seem not to have had their say yet,” Karine Khodikyan, a writer and a publicist, expressed her impressions about the election on May 6.
In her opinion, an unprecedented parliament will be formed, a unique “Armenian people’s parliament.” “One thing is doubtless, it turned out that the Republican Party has so many citizens that believe in it and want to change the country. Crowds, disappearance of ink, everything showed that it was an unprecedented election and it is also unprecedented that whomever one asks, he is displeased with the government, but the majority reelects the government, certainly, changes will be unprecedented in the short run too and one should wait and see how unprecedented they will be,” added Ms. Khodikyan.
