“I Think Hayrapetyan Will Punish Those Who Beat Them up,” Shushan Petrosyan Says About the Incident at Harsnakar

June 19,2012 15:53

“It is undoubtedly vandalism and it is twice as sad, because we hear news from the border every day. I was very upset about what was written on websites. That pain is doubled, because in our very country, our very Armenian can beat up young doctors in such an inhumane way. It is just horrifying that Armenian can lift his hand against Armenian and I think that Hayrapetyan will show wisdom, if he punishes those who beat them up, I mean, he must make that move, he cannot do otherwise, undoubtedly. He must be the first who will make that move, it seems to me it will be the most adequate attitude. Such things are unacceptable for me, particularly when it is about people who save lives, save our soldiers. What can I say, I cannot say anything.”

In response to our question whether she feared that this incident, as other incidents, would be concealed, the perpetrators would not be punished or the society could put pressure, Shushan Petrosyan said, “First of all, it is very good that the society is active, nonetheless, MPs are also a part of the society, if the issue is raised in the National Assembly, I myself will put pressure in order that the perpetrators are punished.”
