“It Is Hard to Unite the Opposition Under These Circumstances,” Anush Sedrakyan Says

July 16,2012 17:51

After the parliamentary election, all analyses and opinions were about the union of the opposition camp before the presidential election. In response to a question of www.aravot.am whether she saw possibilities of overcoming ambitions, Anush Sedrakyan, a member of the Free Democrats Party executive committee, said, “Since different parts of the opposition camp mention names of different candidates – the names of Raffi Hovhannisyan, Vartan Oskanian are circulated, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) circulates certain things, although it hasn’t specified – I think that it is hard to unite the opposition under these circumstances. Let’s wait and see.”

Our interlocutor thinks that theoretically, ambitions may and should be overcome, as for how it will be implemented in practice, she cannot predict yet, “Perhaps, as the political processes change, that demand will become more material.”
